By installing, accessing, or using the KMNO4 AI Chrome extension ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Extension.

KMNO4 AI is a browser extension that provides AI-powered assistance on any webpage. The Extension allows you to:

• Chat with AI directly in your browser
• Select text on any webpage and get instant AI actions (explain, summarize, rewrite, translate)
• Generate AI images (Pro feature)
• Take screenshots and ask AI questions about them

The Extension requires you to provide your own Mistral AI API key to function. You are responsible for:

• Obtaining and maintaining a valid API key from Mistral AI
• Complying with Mistral AI's terms of service and usage policies
• Any costs associated with your API usage
• Keeping your API key secure

You agree not to use the Extension to:

• Generate harmful, illegal, or offensive content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Extension
• Circumvent any usage limitations or security measures

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that:

• The Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or reliable
• The Extension will meet your specific requirements

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Extension.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Extension shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Extension (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

The Extension integrates with third-party services including Mistral AI and Pollinations AI. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content provided by these third-party services.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Extension after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from your browser. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Extension for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
